Double bill with 2 up-and-coming Italian electro-acoustic ambient-composers
Davide Luciani is a composer of electronic music, situated in Berlin since 2011. He started his musical discoveries in the Italian noise-rock scene of 2005. His most recent release is ‘Calming Counts’, out on the ‘Touch’-affiliated label The Tapeworm. Through placing his acoustic instrumentation into an analogue / digital synthesis, he creates compositions that span noise, drone rock and minimal music. In his approach to electro-acoustic music – generated with guitar, piano, strings, accordion, synthesizers, VST wizardry and loopers –Luciani always goes in search of pronounced harmonic sounds with layered repetitive patterns and instrumental polyphonics.

Laura Agnusdei from Bologna (IT) is an electro-acoustic composer and saxophonist, classically schooled with a Master in electronic music composition from the Institute of Sonology in Den Haag (NL). Saxophone is the most important voice in her compositions. The sonic landscapes that she creates shift between melodies and textures, ‘classic’ song form and improvisation. By having acoustic, digital and analogue sound sources fuse, she develops emotional atmospheres that shift on every track. ‘Night/Lights’ – a tape EP that consists of 4 pieces of soulful electro-acoustic music – is her solo debut cassette that was released in September 2017 via London label The Tapeworm. Her first album 'Laurisilva' was released in November 2019 by that same label and in September it went into première at Cafe OTO.
Since 2016, she has played at many locations and festivals such as Rewire, Dekmantel, EYE Filmmuseum (NL), Cafe OTO (VK), Node & Ipercorpo (IT) and she was the opening act for artists such as Colin Stetson and Jenny Hval.
