Bart August Maria Peeters sold out Antwerp’s Lotto Arena more than 20(!) times with the Bart Peeters Deluxe concert series that took place in late 2024 and early 2025 – attracting a staggering 100,000(!) wildly enthusiastic concertgoers. He heads out on the road again in early 2027, to more intimate venues and (in his own words) “the most beautiful venues in the country”.

By the way, there’s a hidden gem stashed in the tour bus trailer, one which will be revealed in all its glory on this evening: his b-r-a-n-d- n-e-w album We zijn er mee bezig. The advance single De Bevalligste is an instant Bart Peeters classic and, indeed, a genuine ode to his granddaughter.

After three years of theatre-silence, we’re embarking on a tour of the country’s finest venues. The reason is simple: new songs that I’m particularly proud of. We tested them during wonderful living-room concerts and felt: this is right, this works, it all came so naturally...

The challenge for the new theatre tour will be: to make people happy with well-known songs, but definitely also to surprise them with fresh ideas. To get that balance just right, we will play a sold show in two parts, no half measures.

Of course, I’ll be playing with De Ideale Mannen again. I’m also proud to announce that Tom Vanstiphout, my favourite guitar wonder, will be joining us to make the party complete. Because it WILL be a party, that’s why we’re doing it. I want to alternate intimate emotion with complete craziness, ‘cause that’s who I am, if you don’t know me by now…
