We're again talking: Good vibes! French Ska! Global Folk! International Rock! Gitane dance-hall punksters. Just like (at the time) The Clash, Mano Negra, The Skatalites... and, at the moment, especially Gogol Bordello! Babylon Circus came into being in the mid 90's in Lyon, they perform with at least 10 people on stage, and thousands go wild in the hall at the same time. That happened extensively in France, but was equally intense here at Cactus or Couleur Café, or in Germany, Russia, Ireland, Syria, ...
The sixth CD, 'La belle étoile' is now out (from Rough Trade). Finally too, a completely beautiful and charming CD, but still with that promise of unavoidable vibes-with-balls live. Or as they chant: Dances Of Resistances!
