The bond between The Scabs and AB is not one of the least. Indeed, at AB's request, The Scabs reunited in 2007 to play their classic Royalty In Exile in its entirety as part of the famous ◄◄ REWIND series. The three (sold-out) reunion concerts - the band had split in 1996 - were an instant success. And it seemed like the best years were yet to come.

Indeed, The Scabs played at TW Classic in 2008 in good company with none other than The Police and Iggy & The Stooges. And in 2019, the band celebrated their 40th anniversary. The accompanying tour “40 Years” counted no less than 35 (!) sold-out (!) concerts. Incidentally, 2019 was a key year for the band. That year, in fact, The Scabs received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the MIAs. A few days after the award ceremony, however, the masterful guitarist - ánd treasure of a human being - Willy Willy swapped the temporary for the eternal. It was The Belgian Keith Richards' wish that The Scabs would complete the tour without him.

Enter 2025! The Scabs announce an exclusive spring show entitled The Phoenix Tour that will take place on Friday 24 April 2026. It could hardly be more apt: the band has risen from its ashes like a phoenix. Moreover, they have brought a new guitarist on board: Fabio Canini, known from Sloper, the band of those two masterful drummers: Mario Goossens (Triggerfinger) and Cesar Zuiderwijk (Golden Earring).
