If so, you’re the right person for the job, as we’re looking for an IT specialist with expertise in audio and networking (m/f/x).
Ancienne Belgique is the vibrant music venue in the heart of Brussels. With around 400 concerts and more than 390,000 visitors a year, it ranks among Europe’s leading concert halls. All this is managed by a motivated and professional team of 70 permanent staff.
Job description
- You will be responsible for the management, maintenance and further development of our IT and network infrastructure.
- You will help with the automation and integration of technical systems within our concert operations.
- You will support and optimise audio networks (including Dante, AES67, MADI and Audio over IP).
- You will work closely with sound and lighting technicians, production staff, facilities management and external partners.
- You will work alongside our external IT partner and report or delegate issues relating to day-to-day office IT operations.
- You will provide technical support for productions and come up with practical solutions to meet technical requirements.
- You will work with and manage platforms such as Q-SYS and other control systems.
- You will analyse technical problems and develop long-term solutions.
- You will be responsible for the sound mix (FOH or monitors).
Profile
- You have a strong IT background with extensive experience in audio.
- You have knowledge of network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, etc.).
- You are familiar with network management and security (firewalls, VPN, DNS, etc.).
- You have knowledge of or an interest in audio-over-IP technologies such as Dante and AES67.
- Experience with Q-SYS or similar platforms is a definite advantage.
- You have an affinity with automation and systems integration.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, API integrations) is an advantage.
- You are aware of GDPR and privacy policies.
- You are able to work independently, take the initiative and bear responsibility for your projects.
- You work in a structured manner and have a solution-oriented approach.
- You are a good communicator and enjoy working as part of a team.
- You are flexible (evening and weekend work goes with the job).
- You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
- You keep a close eye on technological developments in IT and audio.
- You are familiar with audio software for recording, frequency coordination and digital mixing desks.

- Remuneration in accordance with the scales of Joint Committee 304, pay grade A
