They did it again! Our riders raced their hearts out during the Ascension Day weekend for the 1000km for Kom Op Tegen Kanker. AB participated for the 17th time with no fewer than 20 teams, of which 12 were national and 8 international. The international team departed from Fontainebleau. Thanks to your donations, we were able to present €145,000 to Kom op tegen Kanker.

Facts about our team, 2025 edition:
- In 2026, there were 56 participants (12 women, 44 men) in the national teams and 8 riders (1 woman, 7 men) in the international teams.
- Our youngest participant was Jef Deman (18), son of Sven and Tinne De Keyser who have been riding in the AB team for almost 10 years.
- Willy Vekemans (winner of Gent-Wevelgem in 1969 and Omloop Het Volk in 1968) was our oldest rider at 81 years old.
- One of our sponsors, Valentino, joined our team with 8 employees.
- Our director Tom Bonte and chairman Sioen rode a full day of 250 km.
- Bruno Van Daele rode the full 1000 km for the 14th time.
- Klaas Delrue rode for the 10th time in the AB team, a full day of 250 km.
