Fragile folk-pop melancholy (and some synths?)

This American Vetiver nestles perfectly between folk and pop, and is adored by fans of Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom, Vashti Bunyan, Tom Brosseau, Fleet Foxes...

Now actively encompassing Andy Cabric for more than ten years, a man who apparently has a predilection for San Francisco (the city), Shuggie Otis or Slapp Happy (the artists: dig it, check them out, google them...!) himself.

Vetiver has now finally finished a new, sixth CD: Complete Strangers, and in Andy's words it will again be more wonderful stuff where 'sunshine is only a chord away from melancholy.'

Perfumed people may know the name Vetiver as fresh grass or from fragrance? Poetic souls will, in turn, also appreciate that their site is called Video fanatics won't be so satiated by Vetiver. Just let the captivating music speak for itself!

I thought they were brilliant. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they didn't sing 'I know no pardon' - nobody's perfect!
Pour ma part, je me suis plus amusé sur Little X Monkeys. J'aurais préféré avoir Vetiver en première partie et ensuite l'intégrale des Little X Monkeys.
