Ambient floating on a bed of analogue synths

Mary Sutton is the creative ‘mastermind’ behind Saloli. The multi-instrumentalist from Oregon, Portland, comes to present her debut album ‘The Deep End’ (Kranky). Wonderful hypnotic ambient on a soft bed of analogue synths.

Alongside her solo work, Sutton is also a part of the ‘Emahoy Sheet Music Project’. An initiative that transcribes the works of Ethiopian pianist Emahoy Tsegue-Maryam Guebrou and publishes it, so that her work can be spread around the world.

For fans of Sarah Davachi, Suzanne Ciani, Forma, Felicia Atkinson, Eric Satie
In the press ‘Sutton has produced remarkably evocative music from a stripped-back set-up, making The Deep End a revitalising listen wherever you experience it.’ Resident Advisor
