Thé return of thé jazz bass & live funk virtuoso (+ alert talent selector!)

The very first jazz album was released 100 years ago: The Original Dixieland Jass Band with ‘Livery Stable Blues’. That’s why AB will be paying extra attention to jazz for a year. From contemporary classics to musical troublemakers who are inspired by jazz, to the latest incredibly headstrong jazz generation from local soil.

Top-shelf funk, soul, jazz... alias the 'slap bass'! Ever excellent bandleader and guide to eg (then still) young talents like Christian Scott or Alex Han. New CD on Blue Note planned for 2018 via Universal. Exact band line-up to be announced ASAP!

For fans of prodigious playing pleasure, super jazz-funk, and of course his masterful collaboration with Miles Davis for 'their ' excellent Tutu album.
AB fun fact Now their fifth visit and already from 2015 ago with his Afrodeezia project.
Fun fact On our website after his previous visit: 'Absolutely amazing from start to finish. What talent. I don't understand how I never knew Marcus Miller after 50 years as a jazz fan. Also my first visit to AB despite living here for the last 44 years - a great venue.'
