Fine melancholy alt.country, new CD Vide Noir
Melodious polyphonic alt.country, indie-folk, rock-chanson... that melancholy branch. With American Ben Schneider as mainstay and meaningful album titles like 'Lonesome Dreams', 'Strange Trails' and now too 'Vide Noir' (here via Universal). The poignant 'The Night We Met' is also familiar from the soundtrack of the Netflix series '13 Reasons Why'.
HUMO on an earlier Pukkelpop visit:
Fun fact The band name apparently refers to Lake Huron where the young Ben found much of his inspiration, mostly in the evenings.
