Or in plain language, translated from the Dutch and/or Flemish language that will once again determine the musical selection: everyone is welcome to this FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL, IN THE HEART OF BRUSSELS, 5 AFTERNOONS in the LAST WEEK of AUGUST, on that unique bandstand in the WARANDE PARK, just above CENTRAL STATION, between metro stops PARK and KUNST/WET, and with diverse BUS and TRAM networks nearby.

Lenny En De Wespen with Eva De Roovere

‘Fantastig toch’, that combination!? Lenny En De Wespen was already a wonderful vehicle for singer Lennaert Maes (who we in AB also know as the cheery and instructive animator of the Gelukkig Zijn Sessions). L&DW, as their operating name is sometimes abbreviated, just recently released the fresh sounding CD ‘Instant’ that already included some collaboration from Eva De Roovere. So that super songstress now comes along too. Colleagues amongst themselves… who then sing about ‘Dranouter’… at the Boterhammen: why ever not.

Ertebrekers

Quite a brutal band name for this funny few around central trio Flip Kowlier, Jeffrey Bearelle and Peter Lesage. Yet we swoon for them en masse due to CDs like ‘Otel’ and now ‘Crème’ (with ‘melting icecream hand-model: inneke desmet on the cover’.) The heart of Brussels is sure to become Funky Town for a while, with a vibe from the Maas to ‘De Zji’. But behind every tree there’s always the threat of that ‘Paranoia’. Verstôâjeda? These are only a few of the hits by the groovy West Flemmings.
