Atlanta resident Curtis Harding was already to be heard as backing-singer for CeeLo Green (yep, the guy from ‘Crazy’), and maintains the Night Sun project with Black Lips-frontman Cole Alexander on the side. He stands on his own two feet for ‘Soul Power’, his debut on the famous Burger Records.
In no small way either! His soul – he calls it ‘sloppin’-soul’ - drenched voice immediately grabs attention, as can be heard on the single ‘Keep On Shining’ (those wonderful woodwinds!). We saw the man shine live recently, at the Le Guess Who (Utrecht) and were very much impressed. Just as The Netherlands were, where the man is now über popular and easily sold out two days in Amsterdam's Paradiso.
