It began with only a guitar. Travelling with public transport, later by car. Quietly, sometimes alone, sometimes with Lennaert. Under all sorts of circumstances, small café’s, youth clubs, disco’s, theatres, festivals, with an audience of 80 or 10,000, criticism and triumphs. Nerves too, … lots of nerves. Basically: wild years. That feeling of freedom and experiment, That's what Boudewijn de Groot is looking for in his new theatre programme 'Wilde Jaren'. The setting is small and intimate, the accompaniment is mainly acoustic. No fuss and nonsense or exaggerated show, but rather all focus on the song lyrics, the voice and the fine harmony between Boudewijn's musicians (including Ernst Jansz on the grand and Monique Lansdorp on violin). Which all do optimal justice to his impressive oeuvre. Wilde Jaren is a show for fans and for the musical connoisseur.
With: Boudewijn de Groot (vocals and guitar), Ernst Jansz (piano), Jan Hendriks (guitar), Monique Lansdorp (violin), Åke Danielson (synthesizer) en Bert Embrechts (bass guitar).
