Doldrums is the moniker under which Canadian art-popper and Grimes/Purity Ring- collaborator Airick Woodhead sends his music out into the world.
“It's cacophonous and polyrhythmic, continuously falling apart and putting itself back together. Just when it appears ready to implode from hyperactivity, the song erupts into an unearthly refrain!”is what they whooped at Pitchfork upon the release of debut album 'Lesser Evil' and they gave the thing a big fat 8.0 out of 10.
Successor 'The Air Conditioned Nightmare' is now on the shelves of the renowned Sub Pop label and, going on forerunner single 'HOTFOOT', it won't disappoint. Humo instantly shot the new song into its prestigious Arriba! Chart and described it as “Radiohead, maar dan met drilboren”.
