7:00 Club: Kiss & Drive Italy's Kiss & Drive is more than just a voice borne by beautiful songs that hang between pop and folk. It is also a phenomenon on stage. One that releases energy from a sort of burlesque disproportion. Kiss & Drive is an authentic, fine, funny and interesting project. At the end of 2010 they recorded their first folk-pop songs. What's more, they were support act for Puggy in the AB and won first prize in the Concours Circuit and radio PureFM's audience prize too.
7:40 Box: Cape Coast Radio An extremely playful and harmonious little supergroup containing the likes of members of Isbells and Marble Sounds (and Chantal Acda!) Already a fine visit to AB as support act to Gotye and the sublime debut CD is apparently titled 'Ed Ned & Ted' but is definitely 'the good stuff'!
8:30 Club: BRNS If the music of BRNS were ever to be closely examined, it would probably be described as āmathematical tribalā. As disciples of interrupted paths and divided structures, this Belgian foursome delivers songs that excel in their ingenuity and are possess a constant dynamism. Through claustrophobic air-pockets and over extreme distances, BRNS travels through gloomy spaces in which the the typical British melancholy is coloured by heavenly hues, imported directly from California. Percussive torment is mirrored in it by a sun-drenched Leslie speaker.
9:20 pm Box: School is Cool Winners of Humo's Rock Rally 2010 and debut CD Entropology sounds as glorious as a red-hot 'Arcade Fire'; had a full ABClub in late 2011 (as the hall was occupied by Gotye that day) and you're sure to be familiar with explosive singles 'In Want Of Something', 'New Kids In Town' and 'The World's Gonna End Tonight'. Stop!
