Ambient meets Aphex Twin with this unique and explosive collaborative project
Unique and somewhat surprising collaboration between two top Canadian producers and musicians. Venetian Snares – the alter-ego of the coolest name ever: Aaron Funk – has been releasing intense and intriguing breakcore albums for years. On his magnificent album ‘Rossz Csillag Alatt Született’ (‘05) however he nonetheless visited the world of classical composers like Bartók and Elgar. Multi-instrumentalist Daniel Lanois is not unfamiliar to AB. He has pocketed no less than 11 Grammys, worked together with Brian Eno, and was co-producer of U2’s überclassic ‘The Joshua Tree’.
‘Hun show in de Londense Village Underground dit voorjaar was ronduit indrukwekkend en minblowing. Of: hoe slidegitaar, breakcore en ambient toch explosief hand in hand kunnen gaan.’ (Kurt Overbergh)Kurt Overbergh
For fans of Venetian Snares, Daniel Lanois, Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, Amon Tobin, open minded souls ...

AB fun fact Venetian Snares and Daniel Lanois have appeared on stage in AB a total of six times, but then always in their own right. Time for them to do that together, for the first time.
