What is art? The glorious return of Noordkaap!
Exactly twenty years after the farewell concerts of Noordkaap in 2000 and 30 years after the taking first prize in Humo’s Rock Rally in 1990, Noordkaap is back together again. Manned by the same members with which the band made their greatest hits and best albums too. In short: with Lars Van Bambost (guitar), Erik Sterckx (bass), Nico Van Calster (drums), Wim De Wilde (keys) and THE Stijn Meuris as steadfastly audacious frontman.
On the programme: a selection from the now classic Noordkaap oeuvre. We can already hear you shouting along to ‘Arme Joe’, ‘Satelliet Suzy’, ‘Wat is kunst’, ‘Ik hou van u’, ‘Druk in Leuven’, 'Panamarenko', ‘Een heel klein beetje oorlog', … and rightly so too!
Kurt Overbergh: ‘Noordkaap in het Vlaamse canon, nu!’
AB fun fact Long before it became an AB tradition for Belgian acts to play multiple-day concert series, in 2000, Noordkaap was the first of them all when they sold out the Main Hall for no less than three days in a row. Good for 6,000 tickets.
