Brooklyn-based performer Katie Von Schleicher first came to the fore after the release of her 'Bleaksploitation' album (2015), a 4-track recorded masterpiece that was praised to high heavens by the likes of Consequence Of Sound and Paste Magazine. Successor 'Shitty Hits' (Ba Da Bing Records) was released earlier this year. It is yet another album full of haunting songs in which Von Schleichers voice is prominently placed. The Guardian opened their review of the album with: ‘Mostly, this debut tilts at Portishead covering the Beatles ’I Want You (She’s So Heavy)', with some success’
