30th edition of Boterhammen In Het Park!
Now even more impressive than last year: our 30th edition! Huge party vibes and energy squared, for indeed: 30 = 1² + 2² + 3² + 4²!
Or in plain language, translated from the Dutch and/or Flemish language that will once again determine the musical selection: everyone is welcome to this FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL, IN THE HEART OF BRUSSELS, 5 AFTERNOONS in the LAST WEEK of AUGUST, on that unique bandstand in the WARANDE PARK, just above CENTRAL STATION, between metro stops PARK and KUNST/WET, and with diverse BUS and TRAM networks nearby.
Ancienne Belgique does Again its very Best.
Wannes Cappelle & brother Dieleman & Frans Grapperhaus
So that’s what we call ‘Gelukkig Zijn in the multi-vocal heaven’… as this trio performs divine sing-along songs for the pure of spirit and bestial sinners. All that melodic throat resonance is in a ‘rustic dialect’ too, as Wannes sings in his West (and the brother in his best Zeelandic) Flemish. The original duo is then supported by Frans on the cello. So now they’re a trio! Is that not a wonder? Or a holy trinity? ‘Dit is de bedoeling’ is the name of their programme, with different material than, that’s right, Het Zesde Metaal.
Jan De Wilde 75 jaar
‘Hèhè! Wat een Jan!’, that’s the title of this continuously extending anniversary tour. Rightly so too, as Jan De Wilde really is a vééééééry important link amongst our immense offering of songs from approximately the last five or six decades. All the way from Aaigem and, for him, rather ‘vroeg op den dag’, he’s finally back on the bandstand with ‘Joke’, ’Een Vrolijk Lentelied’, ‘Walter, Ballade Van Een Goudvis’, ‘Eerste Sneeuw’, ‘De Fanfare Van Honger En Dorst’… Choice enough. And we’re still really looking forward to his unmistakable banter between songs and his extra brass quartet!
