ConcertThe Hot 8 Brass Band, that’s the full name for this 'funktastic' ensemble. Eight energetic musicians from New Orleans, and you can hear it: at home in the city and survivors of street violence, illness & Hurricane Katrina. The band came into being as a merger of the High Steppers and the Looney Tunes brass bands. Since then: they’ve pocketed a Grammy nomination, toured (also as support-act for the likes of Lauryn Hill), and were also able to hit the spot together with George Ezra at the Brit Awards.
