Londoner launches fifth album 'I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep'

According to two-time Mercury Prize nominee Obaro Ejimiwe, alias Ghostpoet, we live in depressing times. Two years ago the Londoner shared his sombre view of society via his acclaimed fourth album 'Dark Days + Canapés’. Successor ‘I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep’ will be released in May, about which Obaro had the following to say: "It’s a snapshot of where were are as a society I feel, we seem to have everything and nothing at all. Infinite possibilities and choices galore but we seem set in stone, frozen in place, oblivious to the storm clouds in the distance …"

The mysterious, bluesy ‘Concrete Pony’, the first single from the album, is a fitting foretaste of how the album will sound. The video, directed by Thomas James, is a Lynch-ish, surreal interpretation of the track.
