6 years on from ‘Sun’, the distinctive Chan Marshall launches new album 'Wanderer'

Cat Power, the vocalist, songwriter, musician, and producer Chan Marshall headlines her only Brussels show following the release of her new album, Wanderer.

Produced in its entirety by Marshall, Wanderer includes appearances by longtime friends and compatriots, as well as guest vocals courtesy of friend and recent tour-mate Lana Del Rey.

Written and recorded in Miami and Los Angeles over the course of the last few years, the new album Wanderer is a remarkable return from an iconic American voice.

For fans of Feist, CocoRosie, PJ Harvey, Devendra Banhart, Sharon Van Etten, Anthony and the Johnsons, Bat For Lashes, Warpaint

The artists on stage were all very touching Chan Marshall was really gracious in all her ways I highly recommend her new album Very nice job :)
Muzikaal - zuiver - écht Mooi programma Alle lof!
Loved Chan Marshall ... she’s so talented, wild and quirky ... I am used to the fact that she’s never happy with the tech... so what? Sounded great to me though I can imagine if your hear a high pitch in the. Stage monitors all the time, well that sucks. But she’s brilliant. The act that opened for her was a bit too tender for me. A bit too much the same idea though undeveloped. Nice that Chan supports Stephanie by including her on her tour...
C'étaient des coeurs.
Great voice and many beautiful songs. However, the arrangements were often too minimalist and the band were not at the same level as the singer: they didn't play bad, but the overall sound was flat. Moreover Chan's usual attitude toward the sound guy is boring: in each and every shows she seems to have problem with sound. Most probably the problem is in her own brain :-)
It would have been perfect without the mic issues. She sings with 2 mics and it seems that it was impossible for the sound tech to make them work together. If she can't give specific songs the special sound effects required, that kinda ruin it, isn't it. And I can totally understand that she was annoyed by it but she tried to overcome the shit and when she was not disturbed by technical difficulties, it was truly magical. Her voice is so unique and her new album is a gem.
Schitterend ! Voorprogramma iets minder
Voix incroyablement envoûtante, personnalité émouvante, mais concert un peu perturbé par les critiques de Chan vis à vis du son...
