The members of Commander Spoon (from Brussels) interweave their eclectic range of influences with an energetic jazz sound. They are inspired by hip-hop, R&B and electronica as well as African and Brazilian music. The four are: saxophonist Pierre Spataro, who is also the brain behind the cosmic melodies, guitarist Florent Jeunieaux, bass-player Fil Caporali, and drummer Samy Wallens.
The band has released no less than three EPs in recent years and established a cast-iron live reputation. In 2020, we will see the release of their first full album via Belgium’s W.E.R.F Records.
