Dear AB lover,
The year has come to an end, but there is time for one more look back at 2025. It has been a turbulent year, in which many certainties have been called into question. Everything we value has seemed more defenceless than ever. Despite this - or perhaps precisely because of it - commitment, solidarity, resistance to injustice and true belonging are still very much alive, often seen in small gestures or unexpected corners.
AB has continued to be one of these warm places over the past year. Diverse artists from all walks of life have filled our venue and warmed hearts with a musical language that brings people together. In turbulent times their language may be a little sharper now and then, but the goal is the same: to bring people together, repair what is broken, heal the wounds, question things that seem obvious and call out things that are wrong.
We will be doing the same in 2026: with more than 350 concerts now scheduled, this is a place where everyone will find balm for the soul. You're not alone!
This will also be an exciting year with many changes for AB: we are looking forward to opening our extensive new infrastructure after some serious renovation work, including an intimate concert venue (AB Salon) and a residency centre (AB Antenna).
Work is also beginning on the corner property next to our main entrance. Our brand-new, super-cool AB Café should be appearing there this autumn, a place where we would love to pour you a little more balm for the soul, either before or after the concert.
In short: we all have a lot to look forward to in 2026. Let’s take heart and move forward together!
Tom Bonte (General Manager)
