SAM COMERFORD PLAYS TOMMIE POTTS (SOLO)

Comerford: “I'm revisiting my past as an Irish traditional musician, playing solo tenor saxophone improvisations based around the music of traditional Irish fiddle player Tommie Potts of Dublin (1912-1988). Potts has been a huge influence of mine for years, he was the most avant-garde traditional musician in the history of the tradition and I'm taking it as a starting point to make new experimental music.” Spannend!

TRÁ PHÁIDÍN

“The whole thing sounds like Can and the Super Furry Animals and maybe Albert Ayler meeting in a field of megaliths.” - KLOF Magazine over Trá Pháidíns album An 424

KLOF magazine: “On ‘An 424’ Trá Pháidín make an impressively unified sound. It’s a brilliantly diverse and highly original record incorporating elements of Irish traditional music, earthy psych, ambient, kraut, free jazz, post rock, field recording and just about anything else you care to mention.”

Nu voor het eerst op Europese bodem. Live zowaar een heuse belevenis.
