Mark Van Hoen is misschien het meest gekend van zijn Locust-project dat sinds midden jaren ’90 enkele prachtige releases op R&S, Apollo en Editions Mego heeft uitgebracht. Onder zijn eigen naam creëert Van Hoen donkere, meer experimentele elektronische muziek die hij voorziet van visuals. Van Hoen over het werk dat hij in Huis23 zal brengen: ‘The set will be improvised, but will be sonically similar to releases such as ‘Aurobindo:Involution’, ‘Truth Is Born Of Arguments’ and the more recent ‘Revenant Diary’. The video will be an intense selection of ‘found’ degraded VHS video with heavy processing and colorizations modified by way of the tones, textures and pulses of the music. The result envelopes the listener/viewer into a unique space that he/she may never have experienced before. Both the audio and video are created from a hybrid of digital and analog processing, and offer a mesmeric immersion into sound and vision that is informed by the last 50 years of electronic music and video.’ Onze nieuwsgierigheid is alvast geprikkeld.

Aymeric De Tapol is een Belgische/Brusselse geluidskunstenaar/muzikant die actief is in verschillende projecten en zich steeds meer profileert als een unieke artiest met een heel eigen taal.
