New album: Blight
Four years after Green to Gold, The Antlers return with Blight, released on 10 October via Transgressive Records. The project led by Peter Silberman and drummer Michael Lerner once again shows its most compelling side: dark, layered songs that start as intimate ballads and culminate in unexpected bursts of electronica and post-rock.
The first single, ‘Carnage,’ immediately sets the tone—a sultry murder ballad about invisible violence and our careless impact on nature. With Blight, The Antlers continue their story: an intense, cinematic listening experience that balances beauty and doom, recorded in Silberman's home studio in upstate New York.
