Piensa en... Alma & Grandes Exitos!
'Alma', that will be her new CD, out here on Warner. With as first stylish single, and sultry clip (see below):Por Qué No Vuelves, Amor?
Luz Casal, the flamboyant Spanish songstress finally returns to the ABFlex, that very handy set-up with the half tribune. By the way, that's the same set-up she also already filled in November 2009: with audience, music and enthusiasm.
Luz Casal mainly broke through here after the Almodóvar film ‘Tacones Lejanos’ from 1991. In it, Luz Casal sings the unforgettable ‘Piensa en mi’, a bolero by the Mexican Agustín Lara. Then the soundtrack of ‘Mar Adentro’ (2004) was adorned by ‘Negra sombra’: sung by Luz and Carlos Nuñez, accompanied by guitarist Ry Cooder.
This Iberian diva conquers every area she travels to, with an ever inventive repertoire ranging from rock to ballades via folk and electronic soundscapes. Celtic influences from her birthplace in Galicië colour her musical style. Always doing so within Spain's Mediterranean musical tradition, within which Luz Casal also easily combines elements of flamenco and pop.
Her discography already contains more than 10 studio albums and the remarkably extensive compilation 'Pequeños Medianos y Grandes Exitos': 17 magnificent songs including ‘Piensa en mi’, ‘Negra Sombra’ and duets with the likes of Etienne Daho and Raphaël.
Me gustaria que comprendieras: Luz Casal = class!
