Hello dear fans,

It is extremely difficult for us, but we have to inform you that our Free The Monkey Tour unfortunately has to be postponed due to illness. We tried everything to make this almost completely sold-out tour happen as planned, but health comes first. We are very sad, just like you probably are.

You have waited so long for this tour, and we wanted to give you an unforgettable show. Unfortunately, this time it’s not possible for us to give you 100%, and anything less would not do you justice. We are working hard to schedule new dates and will inform you as soon as possible so that you can plan reliably.

You can surely imagine that such rescheduling cannot be done overnight. Please be patient. Thank you for your support.

Your already purchased tickets will of course remain valid for the new dates.

De Guano Apes zijn echte zen masters geworden. In plaats van zich te onderwerpen aan de mechanismen van de markt, heeft de band uit Duitsland zich daarvan bevrijd. In plaats van elk jaar nieuwe albums uit te brengen, gaat de band liever het podium op wanneer hun innerlijke aap weer komt kriebelen. Wanneer dat gebeurt, is het pure extase: iedereen die deel uitmaakte van de eerste post-pandemische tour of een van hun krachtige concerten op de grote festivals heeft meegemaakt, kan het bevestigen. Vanaf de eerste tonen van "You Can't Stop Me" via alle klassieke hymnes tot het slotakkoord van "Lords of the Boards" laten ze letterlijk elk publiek rocken. Terwijl de wereld steeds digitaler wordt, gaan de Guano Apes de tegenrichting in en eisen het analoge op. Of zoals ze het zelf zeggen:

"We are closer to apes than to AI. And there is a primal force inherent in humans, the old-world monkeys: the urge for freedom. We have been supporting this tonally, together with our audience, for around three decades. In the midst of the AI turnaround and digital detachment, grounding and understanding man in nature is more important than ever. With our handmade sound, we want to bring the inner compass back to the audience, reset the basic setting with a tonal slap and thus free the inner monkey.”
