'Heartbreaking, gorgeous.’
(Q Magazine)
‘An astonishing work. Near to perfect.’
(NME)
‘The most perfect blend yet of their alt country roots and their obsession with soul.’
(Mojo)
In ’15 it will be exactly 15 years since the release of ‘Nixon’, the breakthrough album by our favourite alt-country band from Nashville. Lambchop – still with Kurt Wagner at the helm – was, at the time of the release, overwhelmed by enthusiastic reactions from the old continent while America looked the other way. Monthly mag Uncut even shot ‘Nixon’ to ‘Album of the year’ that year.
So it's time for an entire tribute to Lambchop’s masterpiece. For it, Lambchop not only passes by the prestigious London Barbican, but also AB. Honoured, that's how we feel.
This concert is also a tribute to previous Lambchop-member Mark Trovillion, who passed away in 2014.
