Première en Belgique d’une rappeuse qui décrit son style en ces termes : « hip-hop infused with gospel, jazz, soul and prose » 

Sorvina, originaire de New York et installée à Berlin, est irrésistiblement désarmante. Il suffit d’écouter ne serait-ce qu’une minute sa session Live From The Living Room enregistrée chez elle pour tomber sous le charme. « Rooted entirely in the African-American experience, my sound is hip-hop infused with gospel, jazz, soul and prose » - c’est en ces quelques termes que Sorvina résume sa musique. 
Sur scène, Sorvina s’entoure invariablement d’un véritable backing band. Se produire, c’est vraiment son truc : « Performing is the greatest joy of my life. » En Allemagne, elle a déjà partagé la scène avec de grands talents internationaux, comme Alabaster DePlume, Moor Mother et Lonnie Holley. C’est dire son potentiel !   
Encore quelques shout-outs, Sorvina? « Yes! To Tyler, The Creator, Doechii, Little Simz and every other queer Black rapper! The future of hip-hop is intersectional, and I love to not only see it but attempt to be a part of it. »
