Ce « fils de » cherche à tracer sa propre route country et lui donne des accents rock'n roll.

Justin Townes Earle, le fils de Steve Earle, se montre tout à fait à la hauteur et crédible. Son deuxième prénom fait évidemment référence au célèbre Townes Van Zandt. Ce monument de l'écriture folk est, de fait, une source permanente d'inspiration pour le père comme pour le fils. Depuis 2008, Justin a sorti deux CD : 'The Good Life' et 'Midnight At The Movies' et nous avons enfin le plaisir de l'accueillir à l'ABClub, suite à la sortie l'an dernier de son album 'Harlem River Blues'.
On a pu lire sur son site : 'Woody Guthrie once said, “Any fool can make something complicated. It takes a genius to make it simple.” On Harlem River Blues, Justin chose the simple route. The record’s not a wall of sound produced to the rafters. It’s rockin’ and reelin’ at times, sweet and slow at others—and it’s great.
