Dolly, Gillian, Wanda & now Lindi?

Lindi Ortega! Un nouveau nom. Une voix puissante. Un grand talent. Son premier album s'appelle 'Little Red Boots' (distribué chez nous via Rough Trade) et fait suite à un premier EP intitulé 'The Drifter' paru en 2009.
'Little Red Boots' est tout à la fois rafraîchissant, pétillant et stimulant. On est ici loin du travail à la chaîne, comme le SF Examiner le notait très bien : 'She’s got the down-home trill of early Dolly Parton, the rockabilly wallop of vintage Wanda Jackson and the rustic lyrical outlook of prime Gillian Welch.' Lindi Ortega a des racines irlandaises et mexicaines. Elle vit à Toronto, au Canada, et se passionne pour Frida Kahlo et Johnny Cash (quand elle ne fait pas les 'backings' pour Brandon 'Killers' Flowers, entre autres). En ce samedi soir, ses 'Little Red Boots' la conduiront tout droit à l'ABClub en solo. Suivez-les !
