Puscifer, le collectif éclectique gravitant autour de Maynard James Keenan, Mat Mitchell et Carina Round, fera escale à l’Ancienne Belgique le 2 novembre à Bruxelles dans le cadre de sa tournée « Normal Isn’t ». Le groupe célèbre ainsi la sortie de son nouvel album, le premier depuis plus de cinq ans.

Écrit et enregistré en Arizona, à Los Angeles et sur la route pendant la tournée Sessanta, « Normal Isn’t » combine l’électronique sombre et l’humour incisif avec une approche plus brute et spontanée qui fait la renommée de Puscifer. L’album explore plus en profondeur les influences post-punk et gothiques des membres du groupe, tout en optant pour des sonorités plus brutes, plus directes et davantage axées sur la guitare. « Nous nous appuyons délibérément sur nos premières influences », explique Maynard James. « C’est l’interfaçage entre le gothique et le punk, c’est de là que je viens. »
Puscifer reste une entité à nulle autre pareille dans le monde de la musique alternative : un collectif qui réunit musique, performance et arts visuels pour offrir une expérience 100 % immersive. Le groupe s’est produit dans de grands festivals tels que Coachella et Bonnaroo, a joué à guichets fermés dans le monde entier et a collaboré avec des artistes tels que Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Phantogram et Sir Mix-A-Lot. Leur propre univers de personnages excentriques – de Billy D à Special Agent Dick Merkin – fait également partie de leur identité inimitable.
