Il y a 100 ans, le monde découvrit le tout premier album de jazz : « Livery Stable Blues » de The Original Dixieland Jass Band. L’AB saisit l’occasion pour braquer pendant un an ses projecteurs sur ce genre musical. Des classiques contemporains aux dissidents musicaux inspirés par le jazz, sans oublier la jeune génération belge au jazz bien trempé.

QUOI?
Le « Great American Songbook » alias « Future Standards », comme s’intitule son dernier opus signé sur FireRecords. Ce « surréaliste de l’Arizona » a récemment marqué un temps d’arrêt pour plancher sur son fameux projet « Giant Sand » (cf. la connexion du groupe à Calexico). À présent que la page country est tournée, il embrasse résolument le jazz.
