Le groupe de post-rock texan nous livre son 6e opus « The Wilderness »

C'est avec « The Wilderness » que le quatuor post-rock texan Explosions In The Sky compte briser le silence assourdissant qu'il nous avait imposé après son cinquième album « Take Care, Take Care, Take Care » paru en 2011. En dehors de trois remarquables soundtracks pour des longs métrages dont « Lone Survivor » avec Mark Wahlberg (’13) et « Manglehorn » avec Al ‘Scarface’ Pacino (’14), les post-rockeurs d'Austin ont mis cinq ans à accoucher d’ un nouveau single explosif, l'incandescent « Disintegration Anxiety ». L'album sortira le 1er avril 2016 via les excellents labels Temporary Residence Limited & Bella Union.

Ils ont partagé pour la première fois la production avec John Congleton (St. Vincent, Spoon, Sigur Rós, Swans) qui a exploré en compagnie du groupe “the infinite unknown, utilizing several of the band’s own definitions of “space” (outer space, mental space, physical geography of space) as compositional tools.”
