Field recording-artiest brengt nieuwste werk naar Brussel
De Australische, in London residerende, Kate Carr onderzoekt sinds 2010 de raakpunten tussen geluid, plaats en emoties als kunstenaar en curator. Haar composities en sonic mapping zijn opgebouwd uit field recordings die ze maakte over de hele wereld: op het Thaise platteland, in vissersdorpen in het noorden van IJsland, langs de ondergelopen oevers van de Seine en de straten van Brixton, langs verschillende Europese kustlijnen, bij dieren in het wild in Zuid-Afrika tot in de wetlands van Zuid-Mexico.
Carr wordt algemeen aanzien als een van dé voortrekkers van de nieuwe lichting field recording artists.
