DESCRIPTION:Luka Bloom & band\, c’est Luka Bloom\, déjà\nexceptionnel en solo\, accompagné de Dave Hingerty à la\nbatterie (cf. The Frames) et Joe Csibi à la basse (on lui\ndoit aussi les arrangements de cordes du dernier album de\nLuka Bloom). Notre Irlandais préféré a\, en effet\, sorti\nun tout nouvel album récemment\, le douzième de sa\ncarrière\, intitulé 'Eleven Songs' et paru sur son\npropre label Big Sky Records (distribué chez nous par V2).\nOn avait encore pu le voir en solo\, dans notre pays\, à\nl’automne dernier. C’était à guichets fermés.\nDepuis\, il s’est produit avec son groupe au Vicar\nStreet\, à Dublin\, et c’est ce concert unique que ses\nnombreux fans belges pourront bientôt voir en exclusivité\nà l’AB. Pour les profanes\, nous revenons rapidement sur\nsa carrière. Notre 'turbo-troubadour'\, de son vrai\nnom Barry Moore (et frère de Christy Moore)\, est un\nsinger-songwriter inspiré qui sévit depuis plus d’un\nquart de siècle. Sa carrière a pris définitivement son\nenvol avec la sortie en 90 de l’album 'Riverside'.\nOn rappellera aussi l’incroyable succès remporté par sa\nreprise tout en douceur du tube rap 'I Need Love'.\nEt\, ceux qui ont eu l’occasion d’assister à l’un ou\nl’autre de ses concerts\, ou qui connaissent le CD live\n'Amsterdam'\, savent combien il peut être vif et\ninventif sur scène. Mais arrêtons là les louanges\, et\nlaissez vous tout simplement emporter par la musique de Luka\nBloom !    And an extra wee blurb from Luka himself for\nmarch 4th:After nearly 20 years coming to Belgium with just\nmy voice and guitars and songs; I've decided it's\ntime to bring some friends to play with me.We had so much\nfun making Eleven Songs\, my new record\, that I've\nasked some of the guys to come to Ancienne Belgique in\nBrussels for a show on March 4th 2009.Joe Csibi has played\nbass with Sting\, The Chieftains\, Elmer Bernstein; has\nworked with Riverdance... More importantly\, he played bass\nand arranged strings on Between the Mountain and the Moon\nfor me in 2001.
