Pendant le\nweekend des 26\, 27 et 28 novembre 2010\, Toutpartout va\norganiser à Bruxelles\, en collaboration avec une série de\nsalles de concerts et de clubs bruxellois\, la première\nédition du festival Autumn Falls. Toutpartout est une\nagence de booking européenne et “Benelux promotor”\,\nbasée à Hasselt\, qui organise aussi bien des shows dans\nles salles de concerts du Benelux que des tournées dans\ntoute l’Europe. Achetez vos tickets via www.botanique.be   \nLambchop (usa) performing ‘is a woman’Lambchop est\ntoujours notre groupe favori de country alternative issu de\nNashville\, dont la figure centrale n’est autre que Kurt\nWagner\, doté d’une voix saisissante et aérienne. Retour\nsur l’an 2000. Un nouveau millénaire. Lambchop venait de\nsortir leur (cinquième) album innovateur “Nixon”\, avec\nune bonne pincée de soul contemporaine. Wagner avait\nabandonné son emploi de poseur de parquet pour se consacrer\nentièrement au groupe. Le résultat : “is a woman” (en\n2002) que Lambchop interprètera intégralement sur scène\npendant Autumn Falls.Wagner\, à propos de “is a woman”\n: “We wanted to make a Lambchop record that focussed on\nthe songs themselves\, the ‘song’ meaning a voice\nrepresenting the words and a piano providing the foundation\nfor the music. Most of these songs were written out in the\nback yard on a laptop that I borrowed from my father\,\nsitting under a mimosa tree.”. On est toujours un peu\nméfiant par rapport au contenu des bios de groupes\, mais\nlà\, ça paraît reposer sur un fond de vérité : “‘is\na woman’ is an elegant\, luxurious and refined album that\nmines rich seams of romance\, despair\, beauty\, poetry and\nmagic.” Dont acte.Détail amusant : avec le cd “is a\nwoman”\, il y avait un cd en bonus\, avec entre autres\,\n“This Corrosion”\, une version “stripped down” du\nmorceau des Sisters Of Mercy. Et soudain\, Lambchop est\npassé en “high rotation” sur toutes les radios !\nBlitzen Trapper\, originaire de Portland dans l’Oregon\, a\nfêté ses 10 ans en 2010. Le sextet vient tout juste de\nsortir son cinquième album “Destroyer Of The Void”.\nContrairement à ce que leur nom laisserait présager\, les\nBlitzen Trapper sont bien les dignes représentants d’une\nAmericana pur jus. Le très influent webzine Pitchfork a\nécrit : ”Unlike many of their contemporaries doing the\nbearded-70s-folk-rocker thing\, Blitzen Trapper's\ninfluences lie less with hippie-ish CSNY or the Grateful\nDead and more with the rugged late-60s roots-rock of Bob\nDylan and the Band.” Et Pitchfork d’en rajouter :\n“Blitzen Trapper's version of Americana is one of the\nmost melodic and playful since ‘Being There’-era\nWilco.” Encore un petit détail pour nous faire\ndéfinitivement adorer Blitzen Trapper : Alela Diane chante\nsur leur dernier album.
