Giant American Songbook !
Il y a 100 ans, le monde dĂ©couvrit le tout premier album de jazz : « Livery Stable Blues » de The Original Dixieland Jass Band. LâAB saisit lâoccasion pour braquer pendant un an ses projecteurs sur ce genre musical. Des classiques contemporains aux dissidents musicaux inspirĂ©s par le jazz, sans oublier la jeune gĂ©nĂ©ration belge au jazz bien trempĂ©.

QUOI?
Le « Great American Songbook » alias « Future Standards », comme sâintitule son dernier opus signĂ© sur FireRecords. Ce « surrĂ©aliste de lâArizona » a rĂ©cemment marquĂ© un temps dâarrĂȘt pour plancher sur son fameux projet « Giant Sand » (cf. la connexion du groupe Ă Calexico). Ă prĂ©sent que la page country est tournĂ©e, il embrasse rĂ©solument le jazz.
