On Sunday 2 October 2016, Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen challenges you to walk in the footsteps of people on the run... with the Refugee Walk. Will you come along?
Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen is organising the 40 km long walk this year for the first time, in the Hoge Kempen National Park near Genk. Those who come along are collecting money for refugees.
'Walk the World'
This first edition is all about Startpunt, the place where Vluchtelingenwerk welcomes asylum seekers after their long journey with a bowl of warm soup and information about their rights & the process of their asylum procedure.
The Refugee Walk brings a small part of the world to Limburg under the motto 'Walk The World'. Along the way, refugees share their stories, music from all corners of the world is to be heard, and the walkers are provided with a worldly bite to eat.
Registration and support
Are you, like us, bursting with enthusiasm to experience a fine day and to actively support a good cause? Would you like to walk with us? You can find all information and the registration form via this link.
