DESCRIPTION:Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets for the (now\nsold-out) Het Feest van Zita Swoon concerts on Wednesday 9\nand Thursday 10 December\, together with the band\, it has\nnow been decided to add an additional third concert to this\ntwo-dayer. This concert will take place on Saturday 12\nDecember. PLEASE NOTE: the musical guests to play on these\nevenings are yet to be decided and will be announced soon.  \n Stef Kamil Carlens and his band started their story 15\nyears ago. Originally as a Beatband\, later as Moondog Jr\nand finally as Zita Swoon they signed off 11 outstanding\nalbums\, but it is especially their concerts that are etched\ninto the minds of fans. This unique band is characterised by\ntheir playing pleasure\, idiosyncrasy\, musical\ncraftsmanship and of course their unforgettable songs.A\ncompilation album will be released this fall: ‘To play\,\nto dream\, to drift\, an anthology’ is a double-CD with a\nselection of highlights from their studio albums and a 2nd\nCD with many unreleased extra’s\, from the their tender\nbegin around 1991 right up to the current day.The brand new\nwebsite\, with plenty of room to follow new developments\,\nproves that it's too soon to say goodbye yet:\nwww.zitaswoon.com (from 10 October). Those developments are\non their way\, just see the resumption of ‘Dancing with\nthe sound hobbyist’ in 2010\, the musical dance\nperformance that they made in collaboration with Anne Teresa\nDe Keersmaeker of dance company Rosas. For the next two\nyears\, Zita Swoon with will be taking some time off from\nconcert halls and festivals\, to go travelling\, in search\nof new impulses and influences\, eventually resulting in a\nnumber of live and studio projects in which they'll\nenter into dialogue with kindred artistic spirits.The band\ncelebrates their 15+ jubilee – a pivotal moment in their\ncareer – with three live shows\, in Amsterdam\, Paris and\nBrussels respectively. They promise to be exceptional\nevenings: aside from a selection from their range of\nmelancholy to groovy songs.
