Originally as a Beatband\, later as\nMoondog Jr and finally as Zita Swoon they signed off 11\noutstanding albums\, but it is especially their concerts\nthat are etched into the minds of fans. This unique band is\ncharacterised by their playing pleasure\, idiosyncrasy\,\nmusical craftsmanship and of course their unforgettable\nsongs.A compilation album will be released this fall: ‘To\nplay\, to dream\, to drift\, an anthology’ is a double-CD\nwith a selection of highlights from their studio albums and\na 2nd CD with many unreleased extra’s\, from the their\ntender begin around 1991 right up to the current day.The\nbrand new website\, with plenty of room to follow new\ndevelopments\, proves that it's too soon to say goodbye\nyet: www.zitaswoon.com (from 10 October). Those developments\nare on their way\, just see the resumption of ‘Dancing\nwith the sound hobbyist’ in 2010\, the musical dance\nperformance that they made in collaboration with Anne Teresa\nDe Keersmaeker of dance company Rosas. For the next two\nyears\, Zita Swoon with will be taking some time off from\nconcert halls and festivals\, to go travelling\, in search\nof new impulses and influences\, eventually resulting in a\nnumber of live and studio projects in which they'll\nenter into dialogue with kindred artistic spirits.The band\ncelebrates their 15+ jubilee – a pivotal moment in their\ncareer – with three live shows\, in Amsterdam\, Paris and\nBrussels respectively.
