Spookhuisje conceals a man from Brussels who is\nknown for his masterful guitar style that is influenced by\nIndian raga grand-masters\, Jimi Hendrix\, drones and\npsychedelica. Haunted!9:00 pm - The Beautiful Band (B)The\nBeautiful Band is the ‘superband’ encompassing Bram\nDevens (Ignatz)\, Paul Labreque (Sunburned Hand Of The\nMan)\, Laurent Cartuyvels (R.O.T.)\, Laurent Gerard (él-g)\nand Patrick Calvelo (Monokiri). They describe themselves as\nAOR whereby the refer to Crazy Horse and Creedence\nClearwater Revival. Yet their individual character\nresounds\, complete and identifiable. Beautiful Band members\nIgnatz and R.O.T. have both appeared previously on the AB\nstage for Domino but now they are here for the first time in\ncollaboration.10:00 pm - Wu Lyf (UK)"Het allerbeste wat\nik de laatste tijd gehoord heb\, is WU LYF. Completely worthless if\nyou want to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Wu\nLyf or: World Unite - Lucifer Youth Foundation. Their own\nwebsite doesn't give many pointers either\, unless to\nmake you inclined to think that we're referring to a\nsect from Manchester. Or what do you make of the message\n“Wu Lyf are kids that play heavy\, lost brothers looking\nfor a place to call home..."\, followed by biblical\nprophecies about infernos and natural disasters. The world\nwide web offers more solace. Songs like ‘Christ Mass’\,\n‘Lucifer Calling’\, ‘Spitting It Concrete Like a\nGolden Sun God’ and ‘Heavy Pop’ are immensely\nintriguing. Musically\, they fall somewhere between\nkrautrock\, gospel\, rap noir\, Spiritualized\, The Swans\nand – according to The Guardian - Egyptian hip hop\,\nHealth and Happy Mondays. For the first time on Belgian\nsoil. An album is to follow in the course of the year.   \nSOUNDTRACK BY... DJ JASPER @ AB Club►►► DOMINO\nFACTS…Three acts on one evening with not one single\nofficial album between them. It was no exception at Domino.\nThat's the way we gave an early platform to a series of\nBelgians who would later score.Remember THE BONY KING OF\nNOWHERE who performed in ’07. His debut ‘Alas My Love’\nwould only be released in ’09. FRANCO SAINT DE BAKKER also\nappeared albumless in ’00 on the AB stage. It was ’04\nbefore his debut was out. The releases of ‘Live At The\nAncienne Belgique I\, II and III’ followed later and we\nrecognized Franco Saint members in bands like Novastar\,\nZita Swoon and Flip Kowlier. STIJN performed in the ABClub\nin ’03\, his debut ‘Euphoric’ then followed in ’04\nand he scored a hit with ‘Sexjunkie’. Finally\, we also\nhad DRUMS ARE FOR PARADES who opened big time in ’09 for A\nPlace To Bury Strangers. Their debut ‘Master’ was\nreleased in '10.Another fine link: Behind The Beautiful\nBand you will find performers like IGNATZ and R.O.T. Both\nalready appeared on the stage of the AB and have a direct\nlink with Ghent's (K-RAA-K)³ - who put together\nexquisite evenings in both in ’04 and in ’07.\n(K-RAA-K)³ was also architect of one of the most remarkable\nDomino evenings: ‘Cassette Crusts On Tape Trips ... A\nCassette Night’ with only acts that were strongly anchored\nin the tape culture appearing on stage .                    \n
