DESCRIPTION:The long awaited debut by Wallace Vanborn received the title\n‘Free Blank Shots’ and will be available from the better\nrecord stores as of Monday 8 February (TSR / [PIAS]). The\nalbum was preceded by the single ‘Atom Juggler’\, which\nis taking over De Afrekening on Studio Brussel at this very\nmoment. Wallace Vanborn powers on like a runaway train (as\nwitnessed by their much appreciated support act to Therapy?\nin the ABBox in May 2009) and will hopefully stop in the\nABClub on Thursday 25 March for a true Coca-Cola\nSession.February 2006\, Ghent was shaken to its foundations\nwhen lan Clement\, Sylvester Vanborm and Dries Hoof first\nset foot on stage as the holy rock-trinity Wallace Vanborn.\nStoner-rock unashamedly makes love to sexy\, stripped\nelectronica\, a magical formula that provides the band with\na solid live reputation and the nickname 'Pletwallace’\n(steamroller). Humo speaks of a sound approaching the most\noverwhelming Kyuss\, their first airplay on Studio Brussel\nis a fact\, and on JIMtv the first single ‘Rite Hands’\ncamps at number 1 in the Pure Belgian chart for 8 weeks.\nFlanders soon becomes too small for Wallace Vanborn and -\neven before there is talk of a real debut album - the band\nstarts performing in The Netherlands\, England and just\nabout every major city on the American west-coast during a\n14-day tour.    The debut album from promising young\nBelgians Landfill will be released in March. The band\nlearned the ropes in a garden shed\, as young rascals\nimpressed by the best of Radiohead and Muse. They were soon\nwriting their own songs and gaining live experience during\nall sorts of competitions\, including Music Live. After 2\nEP’s (the first one of which resulted in a track on a\nDemopoll CD)\, Landfill have spent the past months in the\nstudio recording their debut with Monza bassist Bart\nDelacourt. The advance single ‘Gentlemen’ has certainly\nalready set a strong tone.                                  \n
