Because we're completely\nconvinced that there are even more exceptional young vocal\nchords in the various genres (jazz\, blues\, folk\, roots\,\nrock\, soul\, chanson\, pop\, ...) that populate this\nworld\, together with The Music Village\, we're\norganising for the fourth time a unique and international\ncompetition under the title VOICES NOW>. The 12 laureats\nfor the semi-finals are:Alita Dupray (Canada)\, Charles\nTurner (USA)\, Irène Serra (UK)\, Sofia Ribeiro\n(Portugal)\, Barbara Bürkle (Germany)\, Turku Fjoralba\n(Germany)\, Tjasa Fabancic (Slovenia)\, Maria Joao Mendes\n(Portugal)\, and Beata Przybytek (Poland)From tuesday 9 till\nfriday 12 december\, the'll compete to obtain a place on\nthe scene of the grand final.Info+tickets for these\nsemi-finals: themusicvillage.com FinalThe best three\nfinalists will continue on to the final and you can\nexperience them live in the AB on Saturday 13 December. Each\nwill present a 20 minute set including their interpretation\nof Joni Mitchell's 'River'.The jury is composed\nof: David Linx-president and Belgium’s best international\nrepresentative of modern jazz singing\, Dutch jazz-singer\nDenise Jannah\, Belgian singer Dani Klein (Vaya con Dios)\,\nAB programmator Isabelle Decallonne and jazz singer Jihye\nLee\, winner of the 2007 competition.For the audience\,\nthere will also be a chance to bring out their voice\, by\ntaking par in the nomination of the winner of the prize of\nthe public.
