DESCRIPTION:Tom Pintens: "De Oogst"Tom Pintens has succeeded\nin making a surprisingly solid guitar album and yet still\nremain loyal to the dreamy\, filmic mood that we recognise\nfrom his first two albums.The recordings took place in burst\nof friendship and enthusiasm in the Gamstudio in Waimes\, a\nsort of Ardennes chalet with built-in studio\, where the\nband camped for five days at the beginning of November 2010.\nThey were finished off and mixed in his own PintensPalace\nstudio.Just as for the previous two albums\, the lyrics were\nwritten by writer/musician/actress Ellen Schoenaerts\, who\nwas this time supported by her colleague Dries Helsen. Luc\nDe Vos and Remco Campert completed the script.For this third\nalbum\, Tom will be working with Dutch label Excelsior\nRecordings\, a match made in heaven.Live he will be assisted\nby Bjorn Eriksson on guitar and bass (Maxon Blewitt\, The\nPartchesz\, Admiral Freebee)\, Stijn Cole on keyboards\,\nbeatbox (Colepark)\, Tijs Delbeke on bass\, guitar trombone\n(Sir Yes Sir\, dEUS\, ...) and Jeroen Stevens on drums (I\nlove Sarah\, Nieuw Zwart Trio).A musical symbiosis that\nprovides a propulsive\, ever exciting live set!    Derek\n& Maria: “Het wonder is volbracht”Following on from\nDerek’s first Dutch-language CD Lila Cortina\, he now\ncontinues in Dutch together with Maria. With the brand new\nalbum “Het wonder is volbracht” Derek again bears\nwitness to his talent for straightforwardly exposing true\nfeelings. Derek's typically characteristic guitar sound\nand the sometimes soft\, sometimes scratchy or playfully\nplucked sound of Maria's violin give the songs the\nnecessary colour. Even though Derek wrote (in French and\nEnglish) chansons and songs that moved many over the last\ntwenty years\, he now plays in/with the Dutch language as if\nit had never been otherwise.
