DESCRIPTION:Last year TOM HELSEN's album 'Hilite Hotel' was\nreleased with the super singles 'Sun In Her Eyes'\,\n'Change Yourself' and 'Easy'. Just recently\na singles collection was also released\, covering the past\n10 years\, it's appropriately titled '1998 -\n2008'. But Tom is currently also working hard on his\nfifth studio album with producer David Poltrock. That album\nwill be released this autumn and the ABconcert is the\npremière of the tour which is coupled to that release. At\nthe age of 19 Tom Helsen already achieved silver in\nHUMO's Rock Rally (see: the '96 edition that also\nbrought attention to Arid\, Novastar and An Pierlé). His\nprevious work (you still cheerfully whistle along to\n'When Marvin Calls' and 'Goodbye') provided\nhim with a place on the stage of Rock Werchter\, the support\nprogram of Dido through Europe and an honourable mention in\nmany end-of-year charts . With 'Sun In Her Eyes'\, a\nsingle from the album 'Hilite Hotel' he's\nprobably scored his biggest hit to date. myspace KID FEAR is\nthe band around singer-songwriter Lieven Bulckens from\nLeuven. Begin October the first album will be out\, entitled\n'The Carnival'. On it we find melancholy ballads as\nwell as surprising up-tempo pop songs.
