DESCRIPTION:Good rappers must firstly – obviously – be able to rap\nwell. But what is often forgotten: unique rappers must\nmoreover possess a good voice\, with character. Just think\nQ-Tip\, Guru from Gangstarr or also this dOSEONE\,\nrecognizable by his inimitable nasal raps. dOSEONE is\ncertainly not unfamiliar to AB\, he's stood here\npreviously under diverse monikers such as cLOUDDEAD\, 13\n& God (impressive collaborative project with The\nNotwist)\, Subtle and also Themselves. The latter is the\ncollaborative project of dOSEONE (or rather Adam Drucker)\nand Jel and is closely connected to the avant hop label\nAnticon. Their credo: distorted beats with inimitable raps.\nThemselves will release no less than two albums this year.\n'theFREEhoudini' will be a mix-tape with a host of\ninvited rapper friends (think: Buck 65\, Alias\, Busdriver\,\nAesop Rock\,...) to be spread for free via the worldwide web\n... 'Crowns Down'\, will be this duo's fourth\nofficial album and it is planned for the fall. Finally\, a\nfine attempt to describe their live set: "As Jel pounds\nand thumbs drums and sound from his MPC\, Dose puts down\nsome 5\,000 words per set in a slew of styles\, voices\, and\nshades of honest." It has been noted!    Opener will be\nDe Predikanten. Their debut 'Wablief?' will be\nreleased in April. On www.vi.be (or rather: the Flemish\nmusic world online\, a community of bands\, DJ's\, fans\nand key players from the sector) we recently read: "De\nPredikanten = rap in the dialect of Aalter. You laugh? Ever\nbeen to the Bronx? No? This guy has. So shut up!\n'Wablief?' reminds me of my rap-album\nall-time-best-of: A Tribe Called Quest with 'Midnight\nMarauders' ('93) and 'Daily Operation'\n('92) by GangStarr on which jazz and rap discovered one\nanother. De Predikanten honour Flying Lotus\, DJ Shadow and\nJurassic 5. We hear just as many original beats and rappers\nwith character ."
