DESCRIPTION:Watch The Sedan Vault on ABtv.         Since the start of\n2008\, one of Belgium's best bands may carry the title\n'AB Artist In Residence'. Why? Because this band -\nwith its sound\, vision and work ethic - is unique in our\ncontemporary musical landscape. A band with international\nallures. 'We spread communism by the gallon of\ngasoline.' It could be a statement from the German\nterror-organization RAF but it's the first catch phrase\non 'Vanguard'\, the second album from progressive\nrock band The Sedan Vault. This new LP shows an evolved\ngroup that goes further than the usual punk and rock\ninfluences. 'Vanguard' has grooves\, harmonies and\nespecially strong lyrics. Although The Sedan Vault\nhasn't lost its raw hardcore edge\, the band now\nproduces a richer sound and better songs. The beat pumps\nharder\, the guitars are smarter and the arrangements vary\nfrom electronica to dark copper horns and Eastern European\nstrings. The vocals sound more melodious\, with lines that\nare powerful yet sing-alongable. 'Vanguard' is no\nsecond 'Mardi Gras'. The new album combines former\ninfluences\, including Philip Glass and The Residents\, with\nsounds from now - like The Mars Volta\, Battles and Klaxons\n- which is what gives 'Vanguard' international\nallures. Above all\, The Sedan Vault is known for their wild\nand energetic live shows and so the AB is pleased to be able\nto present this new album live.
